From Hong Kong to Tanzania!

After taking a break from the working world, Danny McLellan arrived at Jifundishe in the middle of a month-long African adventure that took him from Ethiopia to Rwanda, Tanzania to Kenya and on to Botswana. As I write this post, he is starting his Kilimanjaro climb, but yesterday, he spent the day at the Jifundishe Free Library teaching primary school students how to “map” their village. Assisted by Jifundishe volunteers, Meg Bearor and Doris Buhatwa, the kids drew a map of their village, including landmarks such as churches, shops and their own homes.
We had a great time with Danny during the three days he was here with us and wish him a wonderful remainder of his journey.

Using crayons in both hands at the same time! Quite a trick!

Danny had more than a few laughs trying to understand what the kids were saying!
